Lithuania's Ambassador Lyra Puišytė-Bostroem presented copies of her letters of credence to Argentine Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs
On 30 September, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Spain Lyra Puišytė-Bostroem remotely presented copies of her letters of credence to Pablo Anselmo Tettamanti, Deputy Foreign Minister of Argentina. The Ambassador will present the original letters of credence to the President of Argentina.
In a bilateral meeting after the ceremony, both parties expressed their interest in strengthening political cooperation through bilateral visits. The interlocutors also agreed to accelerate the opened negotiations on the signing of bilateral agreements and to strengthen economic relations of the two countries.
Puišytė-Bostroem was glad about a numerous and active Lithuanian diaspora in Argentina, and thanked for the Argentinian Foreign Ministry's support in organising missions of Lithuanian consular officials to Argentina.
Lithuania and Argentina celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations on 25 September. This year also marks a centenary anniversary of Argentina’s recognition of Lithuania’s independence.
