11th of March Celebrated in Las Vegas
On March 13th Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Los Angeles Mrs. Laima Jurevičienė participated in the celebration of the Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania organized by Mrs. Astra Julianna Michels, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Nevada.
Welcoming the participants Mrs. Jurevičienė emphasized the importance of international support for Ukraine in its fight against the unprovoked, illegal, and unjustifiable aggression of Putin and Lithuania's strong position on Russia's accountability for war against Ukraine. Ukraine's fight is also for the freedom of Lithuania and the whole of Europe. By helping Ukraine, we also support our freedom.
Mrs. Jurevičienė thanked Mrs. Michels for organizing the celebration, for active work in developing the relations between Lithuania and the USA, and the opportunity to commemorate one of the most important Lithuanian holidays with Lithuanians in Las Vegas. Consul General also urged Lithuanians to continue cherishing their nationality and culture, and to establish a Lithuanian community in their region.
