Consul General L. Jurevičienė visited Arizona International Forum
On March 30th at the invitation of Arizona Commerce Authority, the Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Los Angeles Laima Jurevičienė visited International State of the State Forum in Phoenix.
The aim of the forum was to present Arizona's position in the global economy, discuss opportunities for international cooperation, and inform about the state's investment and trade advantages. The focus was on Arizona as a place for the development of a new generation of economic sectors – electric vehicles, semiconductor and battery industries. Participants also visited the research and development center of electric and hydrogen vehicle designer and manufacturer NIKOLA.
During the forum, Arizona’s Governor Doug Ducey presented a report to the local and international audience on the state of the state, which he began by condemning Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and stressing the need and importance of support for Ukraine.
During a short ad-hoc meeting with Mr. Ducey, Mrs. Jurevičienė welcomed the significant business developments in the State of Arizona and invited to strengthen bilateral business cooperation with Lithuania.
