Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Los Angeles Mrs. Laima Jurevičienė is participating at the annual meeting of Lithuanian Honorary Consuls from the United States and Mexico in Chicago on September 24th, 2021.
The participants of the event will get acquainted with the news of the Lithuanian economy and the representation of Lithuania's security interests in the United States. Also, the program includes a discussion about business and investment cooperation possibilities between Lithuania and North America. Lithuanian Commercial Attaché to the United States from the Consulate General in Los Angeles Mr. Mantas Zamžickas is as well participating in the meeting and will held a presentation.
The participants of the event were greeted by the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda who is currently on a visit in Chicago. Lithuanian Ambassador to the United States Audra Plepytė awarded the Lithuanian Honorary Consul in Washington (Seattle) Vytautas Victor Lapatinskas with the honorary medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ‘Star of Lithuanian Diplomacy’ for successfully fostering bilateral relations between Lithuania and the United States, and a fruitful representation of the Republic of Lithuania throughout many years of work.
Representatives of local Lithuanian communities, Lithuanian business associations, and companies are also invited to this annual meeting. The event provides an excellent opportunity for the attending participants, institutions, and companies to receive an up-to-date information about Lithuania's progress in different fields, discuss related issues, and coordinate actions in developing Lithuania's relations with the United States and Mexico.
