National dictation was written at the western U.S. coast
Consulate General of Lithuania in Los Angeles organized the National dictation competition accross the western coast of the United States on February 27, 2016. Event was organized at the Consulate General of Lithuania in Los Angeles, as well as at St. Casimir Lithuanian School in Los Angeles and in Portland, Oregon. H.E. Rolandas Kriščiūnas, Ambassador of Lithuania in the United States, joined the Lithuanian community in Portland together with Darius Gaidys, Consular General of Lithuania in Los Angeles.
National dictation competition is organized by the Civil Thought Institute (PIlietinės minties institutas) together with longstanding partners of the project - news portal DELFI, Lithuanian National Radio and Television, Lithuanian Post, Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, State Commission of the Lithuanian Language, Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania.
The patron of the project is H.E. Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of Lithuania.
